History

Bailén, itself is synonymous with a potter land. Working with clay is part of this town essence since ancient times. The town has organized this International decorative and structural Pottery Fair (CERAMIBA) since 2016, whose main aim is to raise awareness and enhance a craftsmanship which threatens to disappear in the 21st century. During these four editions, the town has been embroiled with a great economic, professional and cultural boom which has set a precedent and has served to promote the pottery sector. Bailén has become the capital of pottery craft with more than 1500 visitors, coming from international as well as national cities. This reality leads to celebrate the 5th edition of this international fair in order to enhance this millenary activity.
